You will find that genealogists research all types of records. I specialize in African- American Church records and the communities that is my main focus. I strive to preserve and archive much of the church history of the Black Communities in  Anne Arundel County. That includes the historic Rosenwald Schools. You must understand that the information for African- American church records are limited.

Preserving and sharing our histories is very important. My purpose is to help preserve and educate our children, churches and communities about the importance of "preserving, documenting and to learn how to share" this rich history of our churches and the cemeteries. I have written grants and developed programs to help others to preserve their church histories and help to document  their family history.

Today we are able to copy, scan, digitize and prepare existing records to preserve our histories. Sharing vital information with this generation will allow this  generation to know about our forefathers who paved the way. It also  gives us a better understanding of who we are today.
